Region: Trager Southeast (TSE)
[Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, portions of N. Carolina, S. Carolina]

Sharon King GreenSharon was introduced to the idea of the Trager Approach while attending Massage School in North Carolina in 1987. "I was so intrigued by just the words and the expression of softness on the face of the person telling me her experience of receiving a Trager session. I knew that there was something special about the feeling that she was recalling."

Sharon became a Trager Practitioner in 1990. She is studying to become a Tutor of the Trager Approach. Sharon shares a private practice with her husband in St. Augustine, Florida, and has a son in elementary school.

Her goal is to encourage Trager students in their growth, and to support the Trager Association by assisting in open communication between the organization and its members to encourage support, growth, and active participation.

Rebecca Young

I have been a Trager® practitioner since 1996 and currently have a limited private practice in which I combine the Trager Approach and principles of occupational therapy. I have an MS in Occupational Therapy. Before returning to college I had concurrent professional careers in cooking and dance. Milton Trager's work meshes very well with my interests in movement, health and occupation. I enjoy sharing the Trager Approach and Mentastics® Movement Education with a wider rehabilitation community as an occupational therapist. I look forward to hearing from members of our northern California community or anyone else interested in the Trager Approach.

Region: Great Lakes Trager Association (GLTA)
[Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin]

I was brought up in a medical family and learned to depend upon the traditional cures for the ailing body. I developed, over time, a wonderful curiosity about the body, mind, spirit connection and how the mindful connection can fit into the traditional medical protocol.I began that journey as a massage therapist in the late 80’s and found Trager® ten years later much to my delight.  Trager has bubbled its way into my mothering, my passion for dance movement, and my art. I believe that it has brought for me a sense of balance, ease and mobility to my life. I am passionate about the work and how effective it is in keeping the aging process from dominating the upcoming years.  I live in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and have a private practice and work in a busy Chiropractors office.

Irene Darpino-Mid Atlantic PDF Print E-mail

Region: Mid-Atlantic Trager Association (MATA)
[New Jersey, New York, Eastern and Western Pennsylvania, W. Virginia]

I have been interested in healing since high school. This led to studies and practice in various areas of nursing as an RN and Nurse Practitioner. Looking for something more, I discovered Therapeutic Touch in the early 1980's which led to my introduction to Trager work. I was amazed at the results that Trager accomplished in bodies, minds, and spirits and all without those pesky medical side effects that often accompanied the traditional medical model. Like Milton I wanted to integrate this wonderful modality into the mainstream so that everyone could benefit by learning to move their bodies in a light, joyful, painfree manner.  After over 20 years as a Trager practitioner, this is still my goal. I recently decided to become more involved in the Trager organization to add my energy to the hardworking volunteers who have been helping all of us practitioners to make the work of Milton Trager become more widely known to both the public and the healthcare community.

James Noriega-Southern California PDF Print E-mail

Region: Southern California Trager Assocation (SOCHANE)
[California zip codes 90000-92999, Hawaii, Nevada]

   James Noriega

I just became a Trager Practitioner in 2008.  I have no formal background in body work; I just like to move freely and joyfully and to see others do so too.  I have always had a keen interest in movement and have explored it in the martial arts, music, juggling, dancing - and stillness.  The Trager work seemed like the natural way for me to help people, including me, find their freely-moving selves. I am a retired fireman living in Las Vegas, Nevada and I am the best (OK, only) Trager Practitioner in the state.

Shelley Parker, Northeast PDF Print E-mail

Region: Northeast Trager Association (NETA)
[Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont]

Shelley ParkerI have a passion for organizational development, cultivating community understanding and creating forums where the emphasis is on self-awareness and communication. I bring this passion to my local community, currently through involvement in an environmental organization and a cancer support organization. I have welcomed many international language students into my home and discovered that every day brings opportunities for appreciating diverse perspectives in the most ordinary of settings.

I discovered Trager in 2003, became a practitioner in 2004 and turned much of my energy toward supporting my regional organization. I love understanding the big picture as I work locally and, in 2006, decided to get more involved in our Trager organization at the national level. This has given me the opportunity to combine my training and background in education, project management, team building and law with my passion for the Trager Approach and our community.
